History of Dakawa Secondary School

Dakawa Secondary School (Dakawa High School) is a government school located in Dakawa, Kilosa District, Morogoro Region, Tanzania. The school was established in 1992 as a co-education school (boys and girls) with the aim of providing secondary education opportunities to young people from Dakawa and surrounding areas.

The establishment of the school was important to the Dakawa community because it increased access to secondary education and reduced the challenges faced by students who had to travel long distances to find schools.

Over the years, the school has continued to grow through an increase in the number of students, teachers, classrooms, and other learning facilities. The school focuses on providing education that develops students' knowledge, discipline, skills, and good morals.

In 2006, Dakawa Secondary School was changed into a girls’ school, continuing to provide quality secondary education for female students. The school also offers advanced secondary education (Form Five and Form Six) with different combinations.

Dakawa Secondary School has contributed to the community by providing quality education, developing students’ academic abilities and talents, preparing students for higher education, promoting discipline and responsibility, and supporting national development through educated graduates.
